Drinking flaxseed water is by far, the easiest and simplest way to incorporate flaxseed into your diet. There’s nothing fancy or complicated in preparing it. All you need to do is add 3 tablespoons of flaxseed to 1 liter of boiling water and leave it overnight in a thermal container, to maintain its heat. If you don’t have one, a covered pot will be a good substitute.
The following morning, the mixture should have a gel-like quality. Make sure to strain it before drinking to remove the residue. 150ml of flaxseed water is best taken 3 to 4 times a day, 30 minutes before having your meal. If you have a sweet tooth, you may choose to add honey to sweeten your drink.
In preparing flaxseed water, it is highly advisable to prepare fresh ones every night, before going to bed. This is better instead of preparing too much in advance to ensure that you’ll only drink fresh flaxseed water daily.
