Stress is your body’s way of reacting to a threat or a challenge. Whenever you experience an unpleasant event, your brain sees it as a threat and signals your body to activate your fight or flight response. Most of us would not recognize this condition, let alone the level of stress that we are having. This is the main reason why it’s important for us to be aware of our body’s condition. Ignoring stress or not being aware of it may cause it you to become overstressed and experience burnout.
